SEL (Social Emotional Learning)
RULER
Yale RULER Center for Emotional Intelligence has graciously partnered with District 10 for the last four years. Through donations and grants they provided multiple opportunities for schools to receive in-person or virtual training to implement the RULER curriculum effectively in our schools. The purpose of this curriculum is to ensure students and staff of District 10 have language and opportunities to understand and clearly communicate their emotions. Schools learned about the four components of the RULER curriculum: The Mood Meter, The Meta Moment, The Charter, and The Blueprint.
SEAD Framework (NYCPS)
The SEAD framework is a guide that clarifies the overlap between the teaching of SEL skills and engaging in strong pedagogical practices. The framework is a document to support tier 1 instruction for all students in all classrooms. It is grade and content agnostic. It is not a curriculum.
Leader in Me
Leader in Me was originally developed by a principal and her cohort of teachers who wanted to teach their students necessary life skills right alongside their academic instruction, such as leadership, responsibility, accountability, problem solving, adaptability, effective communication, and more.
